2020年12月11日 · I just learned that after having the car for just over two and a half years a message appeared on the dash indicating that the key fob battery is low. You can then get a new CR2032 battery and replace the old one in the key fob. This is a very handy feature! I don't know if this warning message appears in other models and MYs.

2024年9月18日 · I have replaced my key fob battery 2 times already in about a years time! Once almost as soon as I got it and again. I received a notification the battery is low again. Do you think the battery's I have are no good? Seems like a really short time for it to be replaced doesn't it? They are from a cheap blister pack on Amazon.

2022年4月25日 · 2018 Forester with the key fob (not auto start) and my battery died the other day. Got a jump and everything worked fine but neither of my key fobs works. Is it just that I have to have them reprogrammed? Checked the fuse and it was fine. No auto reprogramming with the key fob that I could find. Jim

2017年4月8日 · My Remote Key Fob stopped working a few days ago. I thought the battery died on the remote, I replaced it and still doesn't work. Has anyone experienced this? I hate slaving myself going to the dealer for petty stuff like this just to get it working again. Thanks Ed

2024年1月14日 · I measured the voltage on Energizer battery that gave the "fob battery low" warning. Been used for 5 1/2 years, only use this fob. The CR2032 is a 3 volt battery. It read 2.8 volts. A 'new' CR2032 still in the bubble package, different name brand also measured 2.8 volts. The package has production date of 4/2021 and expiration date of 3/2031.

I got home from work about an hour ago (it worked fine at work), grabbed my bag out of the back seat, closed the door and hit the door lock on the fob and nothing... I went inside the house and grabbed my other fob, nothing, no lock, unlock, hatch, alarm nothing, '16 Forester limited, here.

But I've googled the heck out of this and I can't find anything on the internet that shows a Subaru key fob like this. My owner's manual shows a key fob that when you take it apart, there's a nice big battery just sitting there waiting to be easily replaced.

2024年6月15日 · The critical advice is, there are fragile plastic parts you can break if you're not careful. At least as of 2006/2010, Mazda was the worst. My 2010 Mazda key actually broke in 2 falling to the kitchen floor, becoming unattachable to a key ring because the eyelet broke off the internal emergency key.

2022年10月14日 · I got my first warning about 15,000 miles - other key fob maybe 20,000. Replaced battery and warning went away. I suspect that sometimes when in pocket a button on key gets pushed.
