Up for grabs today is a vintage Sunn Alpha 112 solid state combo. Not too much to say here, just a simple and powerful combo amp that'll do the trick for when you need it. Crisp and warm clean tone and a dark and brooding overdrive built-in.

Here is a vintage solid-state amp by Sunn. It is 50 watts, and subsequently can get quite loud. I believe the amp was built in 1978 or 1979 (but it was definitely constructed before Fender acquired Sunn in 1985). The amp has two channels (normal and bright), as well as a drive knob, master volume, and built-in reverb.

For sale is 1980’s, US-made Sunn 112R guitar combo. Equipped with a 12” ribbed cone speaker. This amp has some similarities to the infamous Sunn Beta Lead amp like it’s thunderous low end and satiating overdrive, but has unique circuit and sound of its own as well.

2011年6月22日 · As far as I am concerned the Sunn Alpha series is a good sounding, under the radar amp, and honestly for a solidstate amp sounds great for cleans, huge EQ range. If for nothing else, get one for a backup, or to run a stereo rig.

2023年9月1日 · Traditionally I’ve been a Fender guy but I mostly play stoner/doom type stuff these days and I’ve always wanted a Sunn amp. I have a chance to pick up an Alpha 112r for $300. I’ve read a lot of mixed reviews about Sunn products in general, which kinda spooked me even though I know what they’re capable of and it seems like a good deal.
