Sureños ([suˈɾe.ɲos]; Spanish for Southerners)‍, also known as Southern United Raza, Sur 13 or Sureños X3, are groups of loosely affiliated gangs [38] that pay tribute to the Mexican Mafia while in U.S. state and federal correctional facilities.

The Sureños are the umbrella organization for Hispanic street and prison gangs united under the Mexican Mafia. The purpose of the alliance of gangs is primarily to make more money for the drug lords, who are mostly prisoners in state penitentiaries.

In 2005, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents arrested a group of Surenos and Brown Pride Locos together on administrative immigration violations. Alliances have been reported with Calle San Marco, a street gang reported in Solano County, California.
