2024年1月22日 · I found this out NOT by my SVEA 123, but by my Coleman Stove which had a bad gasket. I use the same fuel in both SVEA and Coleman stoves. Just a warning out there. Yes, it will temporary work, but mine went bad within about 3 months or less. (because I checked it about 3 months later. That means it could have gone bad within days or weeks.

Anyone using a Svea 123 Stove? Cookset Ideas? - Bushcraft USA …
2013年2月5日 · About 7 years ago, before I knew what a Svea 123 was, I bought a Sigg Tourist pot set for $2 at a rummage sale. I saw the stove nested in the pot set, but I thought the stove must be missing parts because there was no pump. About 2 years later (after using the pots with a Coleman stove) I saw a picture of a Svea being used.
Svea 123 Maintenance - Bushcraft USA Forums
2010年10月16日 · I finally got the neck off the body of the Svea 123. I tried the penetrating oil as per Gray One's suggestion. It didn't work. I wound up draining the stove and completely taking it apart except for the neck which wouldn't loosen. I placed it outside and heated the neck joint with a torch. Naturally, the wick and gas residue in the body ignited.

2024年1月15日 · Svea 123's are very reliable and durable. No pumps to worry about. There is a slight waiting period for preheat. No big deal if you understand the why. There's a reason they still sell them. I think the roar is a bonus
Svea 123 - Best Storage Technique? | Bushcraft USA Forums
2020年5月18日 · I used my Svea 123 from 1978 to around 1995. I purchased a re-build kit when it began misfiring. I always cleaned the port with a small wire. After the rebuild, it never ran as well. Honestly, it was probably something I did wrong. Wish I could be of more help. For reliability, I am getting better with my Trangia alcohol stove.
Optimus 8R vs SVEA 123 - Bushcraft USA Forums
2021年10月12日 · Almost twenty years ago I found a Svea 123 and an 8r sitting next to each other on the shelf of a thrift shop. They were $5 each. I bought both and put new cap seals in them. I used the Svea occasionally, but I didn't use the 8r much. They would both boil water, but it took a long time, neither of them ran all that hot.
