The SV-98 (Cyrillic: СВ-98) is a Russian bolt-action sniper rifle, chambered with 7.62×54mmR round, developed by IZhMASh. The rifle was designed in 1998 by a group of designers led by Vladimir Stronskiy at IZhMASh and serially produced by the Kalashnikov Concern. The SV-98 is based on the design of the "Record-CISM" sporting rifle.

The 7.62 mm SV-98 sniper rifle was designed as a precision weapon for the Russian military and law enforcement snipers to engage enemy personnel at ranges up to 1,000 meters. The rifle is highly accurate when using special 7N1 and 7N14 sniper cartridges thanks to a free-floating barrel with an optional sound and flash suppressor.

This is a true sniper's rifle, fit for the role intended, beautiful wood and crafstmanship, shoots very accurate too and quite powerful, much thanks to taiwangun giving you a stronger spring already installed free of charge. Mine came with a slight issue, some chips on the wood, but as soon as I contacted taiwangun they solved things right away!
