Swains Island (/ ˈ s w eɪ n z /; Tokelauan: Olohega [oloˈhɛŋa]; Samoan: Olosega [oloˈsɛŋa]) is a remote coral atoll in the Tokelau volcanic island group in the South Pacific Ocean. Administered as part of American Samoa since 1925, the island is subject to an ongoing territorial dispute between Tokelau and the United States .

Swains Island is an awesome place to go to in which I have lived. There are great beaches there if you have the time and you can walk around the whole island in about 12-15 hours. The lagoon is great and there are a a lot of differnt land types then that of American Samoa.
