The Summer Youth Internship Program (SYIP), which gives high school students job experience over the summer by connecting them with hundreds of employers, had its kick-off event today. The focus was on welcoming new, potential, internship partners as well as signing up Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) students for the summer.

The internship experience gives students a chance to gain real-world, hands-on experience, make lasting professional connections, and discover more about their interests and proficiency along a specific career path. Internship experiences are linked to students’ future career goals in order to make learning more engaging and relevant.

In its eighth year of operation, the Summer Youth Internship Program continues to serve our community.
