The T28 super-heavy tank was an American super-heavy tank/assault gun designed for the United States Army during World War II. It was originally designed to break through German defenses of the Siegfried Line and was later considered as a possible participant in the planned invasion of the Japanese mainland.

In September 1954, out of many submitted plans, two main examples were chosen – the T95, and the T96, which used a larger and heavier gun with a 105 mm round. Both tanks used smooth-bore barrels with fixed mounts and no recoil systems. In November 1956, it was decided that nine tanks would be produced. Four of them would be original T95s.

T-95 is the common informal designation of the Russian fourth-generation [3] main battle tank internally designated as the Object 195, that was under development at Uralvagonzavod from 1988 until its cancelation in 2010. Little about the tank is publicly known.

2023年4月27日 · Warthunder and World of Tanks both list the T28 as essentially a version of the T95 without its outer tracks. Warthunder’s T28 is virtually identical to their T95, except it doesn’t have an outer set of tracks. World of Tanks depicts the T28 as an earlier version of the T95 with a different frontal hull shape, armor thickness and suspension.
