The TC3 revision knee system, when used with press-fit for long intramedullary stems and cemented femoral and tibial components, in both septic and aseptic revisions, results in a satisfactory clinical and radiological outcome, and has a good medium- to long-term survival rate.

There is a growing body of evidence to support TKR as the primary treatment for some elderly patients with highly comminuted injuries that would be at high risk of fixation failure. We discuss the cases, rationale for the use of TKR in this context, evidence for TKR and proposed advantages of using a porous-coated metaphyseal sleeve system. CASE 1
