The Nova Bus TC40-102N, also known as the Classic, was a transit bus available in Canada and the United States from 1993 until 1997. Production of the Classic was started under General Motors in 1983. In 1987, production continued under MCI until 1993 when the design passed to the newly formed Nova Bus.

The model designations used for Classics consisted of two letters followed by a series of five numbers then another letter. The only versions built were the TC40-102A, TC40-102N and the TA60-102N. All were equipped with an automatic transmission.

Nine TC40-102A's (Transit bus, Classic model, 40 passengers, 102 inches wide, Air-conditioned) were built in two batches for the CCL by Motor Coach Industries. 2201-2203 were built in 1988, with 2204-2209 delivered the following year.
