2022年6月20日 · The Chip sounds very good if you put a lot of effort in it, yes. But what is also very nice is that it gives you a lot of freedom from the design perspective. sim mode and dem clocking, no build in output stage, all possibilities to alter the sound in a direction YOU like.

2011年5月14日 · TDA1541 I recently plugged in a Magnavox CDB473 (manuf. 1987) that is totally unmodified. Not re-capped, all orig. stock. This unit has the classic SAA7220/A and TDA1541 chipset. The TDA1541 is the non-A version -- it doesn't even have the "Philips" logo or icon. (see attachment) The sound from this vintage, unmodded CDP is surprisingly good.

2006年5月12日 · - Clock syncing, I used separate 1% polystyrene 470pF capacitors on all TDA1541 (the close tolerance is important). It is used for internal timing of the current source switching. If you want to sync them use a 100pF between both pin's 16 instead of a direct connection, the oscillators run in phase but oscillator output amplitude may vary.

2002年12月30日 · With -4mA Peak current from a TDA1541 the I/V conversion resistor should be sized so that the typhical output Voltage compliance is not exceeded or a +2mA compensating current should be injected into the TDA1541 Output. This is done easiest by using a 2k4 Resistor from a Well filtered +5V supply via a further 100ohm/1,000uF Filter section.

2003年3月4日 · I had compared my TDA1541 S2 dac (before I2S reclock & DEM mod) to a Doede Dac (multiple TDA1543) and although the S2 was preferred for capturing the texture and tonality of instruments, the Doede was much better in terms of dynamics and solidity of instruments, especially in the bass region.

2002年12月1日 · Bitdecoupling caps for TDA1541 Hi Rudolf & infinite baffle, I made a PCB for the TDA1541 with place for 1µF decoupling caps. I tried Polyester, Polycarbonate and Polypropylene. The latter did not fit well but I was able to hear the difference. In my experience the type of cap is not utterly important. I tried also different values.

Will it work as a "drop-in" (i.e., no further mods necessary)? I thought a TDA1541 needed an I/V stage requiring (+) and (-) power rails. To the best of my knowledge, the 1387 requires just a (+) rail.
