2014年4月23日 · Removing the intake manifold, it's dated 12/07, so has been replaced on my 12/04 engine. The control flap is clean and rotates freely. I removed the crimped on cover to reveal a clean gear mechanism having nothing obviously broken so could it be the motor?

2010年12月10日 · Hi have had the engine management light come on recently (55 plate Golf TDI 140) and after reading / VAG com scan it appears to be the intake manifold flap seized open: 19557 - motor for IMF (v157): open or shorted to gnd p3101 19558 - motor for IMF (v157): No signal p3102 My plan was to take it off and give it a clean next week.

As there a lot of faults I'd start by checking the condition of the main battery connections and earth connections between the chassis and the engine and also check the condition of the high power ( 25A+) fuses on the battery terminals ( if fitted) and those in the underhood fusebox.
