While I prefer Overwatch, I believe that most of the "ow bad, tf2 good" hate comes from when Overwatch was deemed to be the "tf2 killer" like 9 years ago. 2022年10月9日 · Is this a competitor to our beloved TF2? I played it recently and honestly it felt just like OW1 with a bit better graphics. Even the tutorial map was the same. Honestly i'm not super impressed, but will likely play a bit since it is free. Personally i think the fanbase of TF2 will remain loyal for the most part.

So on the surface, MVM and Omnic Crisis 2 look similar but robot invasion is already a common trope among fiction. They also play completely differently with MvM being first-person Tower Defense and OW2 essentially being a campaign.

The Overwatch fanbase is even more lively than ever with the recent release date confirmation of OW2, and the TF2 development team is finally answering our SOS signals. As someone who plays both games, I’d say they’re not so different at all.
