Any brand of HTF fluid that meets CNH/JD specs. will work just fine in your power Steering, and gear driven tranny, but if your 1690 has a Hydra- Shift trannty use the Hytran there. Loren

We run about any tractor hydraulic oil on sale in our fleet. About a dozen 70/90/94 series here and no ill effects. The plug in front of injectiin pump is not a fill port, its for timing the pump.
