
British Rail Class 231 - Wikipedia
The British Rail Class 231[7] is a class of eleven diesel-electric multiple units of the FLIRT family, which have been built for Transport for Wales by Swiss rolling stock manufacturer Stadler Rail. The first units entered service on 18 January 2023. [1] The previous Wales & Borders rail franchise operator, KeolisAmey Wales ordered the new trains.

We've made short videos of all its various door opening/closing sounds, plus the station announcements. The sound profile is quite remarkable. CV129 changes the route/station announcements to any of the diesel routes the Flirt travels.

2023年8月26日 · The FLIRT and 370 were major investments, the 87 and 91 had issues but they still show Hornby making electric locomotives. Ultimately it's like anything else, like what you buy and buy what you like. However, what you like is not necessarily what others like and any manufacturer will do their own analysis of what makes the most sense to make.
