Use the first wrench to hold the TPR in place, when you use the other to unscrew the drain pipe. Cut the new pipe to length. Apply PTFE tape (or your preferred pipe dope) to the threads of the pipe.

2024年4月26日 · To me #6 in that list is the fall safe needed to detect a problem with the TPR valve. In my area hard water will leave deposits on any valve or leaking pipe joint. The hidden deposits inside a leaking TPR valve could prevent it from working. I always make a point to tell clients water should NEVER drip out of the pipe, if it does call a plumber.

2020年6月4日 · The washer was removed but clearly previous owner was wedging it in there. I told my client having that washer drain pipe pinched in there together was an issue. Funny thing is this was the second house I inspected for him that had a tpr drain line issue. He backed out of the other house but it was a newer water tank with no drain line at all.
