2006年5月25日 · When the inner tube is fully inflated it will push the washer against the rim and a locking nut will pull the valve stem, washer and base of the valve stem tight. Problem with this setup it doesn t allow any movement of the tube, so one locking nut on the valve washer inside the rim and one finger tight on the outside is preferred.

2005年6月7日 · It is obvious to me that a nut goes on the outside of the wheel on a valve stem of the tube to keep it in place. However, some tubes come with two nuts. I've pulled tubes out of tires that had one nut on the inside of the wheel and one on the outside.

2009年8月18日 · When you buy a new tube you get the beveled (or cupped) washer that sits at the base of the valve stem. I assume it is there to protect the tube from the sharp edge of the rim at the valve stem hole. Then often there are two locking nuts. One nut goes on the outside of the rim to lock the valve stem in place, what about the other.
