2017年1月18日 · For the most stock horsepower, the ’85–‘86s can’t be beat. But, a lot of the original parts are no longer available. So, the 1990–2001 engines may be a better deal in the long run. As you are aware, the CR500s are not counterbalanced, and Honda went to some trouble to keep harmonic vibration in check on the CR chassis.

2018年11月9日 · Been done dozen's of times...CR500 conversions to 250R Quads & Trikes. The biggest issue is vibration IMO, more on the Quad than the Trike. Not to mention in today's 250R world; much faster cylinders/engines are available with less vibration like a Puma 431. Way too much vibration and it will shake itself apart.

2014年6月4日 · One difference is that the LT500 motor is counterbalanced so it really helps. I would still put my BDT363 against it anyday. I know i will get some grief for this build but had to do it. I'm actually intrigued by what I see so far. The build looks impressive and I like what you've done with the frame.

2007年6月27日 · As for the 500r, I am going to build a cradle that bolts to both front and lower engine mounts, the frame below the engine is going to be plated in with 3/16, and that will be bolted to 2 GM transmission mounts.

Look back 37 years to the October 1987 issue of Dirt Wheels when Allen Knowles of CT RACING showed us how to stuff a TRX250R with a CR500R flamethrower.

2014年4月22日 · If you simply want the beefiest, most reliable two-stroke motor in a TRX250R frame that will beat on just about any four-stroke that crosses your path, then take a 250R motor and have it built up with a big bore package. As Carlos stated, a 363 or 370cc TRX motor will spank the CR500 R across the power curve.
