TV-Y (E/I) rated programs are actually only permitted to air between 6 AM to 5 PM EST on weekdays and 2 PM EST on weekends on most networks; they are the designated time limits to when they can air programs with this rating.

Programs rated TV-14 may contain some material that parental guardians may find unsuitable for children under the age of 14. The FCC warns that "Parents are cautioned to exercise some care in monitoring this program and are cautioned against letting children under the age of 14 watch unattended." TV-Y

A TV-Y rating means that programming is appropriate for children of all ages. TV-Y7 indicates that programming is designed for chil-dren ages 7 and older.
