The Jaguar XJR-6 is a Group C sports prototype race car, designed, developed and built by TWR, with the aim of competing, from 1985, in the World Sportscar Championship. A total of six Jaguar XJR-6s were built and they contested in the World Sportscar Championship until 1986, before Jaguar replaced them with the Jaguar XJR-8. [1][2]

This 1982 Jaguar XJ6 was purchased new by the current owner in July 1982 from Reedman Automobiles Inc. in Langhorne, Pennsylvania, and it now shows 35k miles following history in New York. It is powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six paired with a three-speed automatic transmission and is finished in Damson Red over Biscuit leather upholstery.

The Jaguar XJ (XJ40) is a full-size luxury saloon manufactured by Jaguar Cars between 1986 and 1994. It was officially unveiled on 8 October 1986 as an all-new, second generation of the XJ to replace the Series III, although the two model ranges were sold concurrently until the Series III was discontinued in 1992.

Only 50 convertibles were made, most of which came to the US as part of a 100 car run to commemorate 1992’s launch of the XJ220.
