This Onkyo TX-NR797 model was a solid model and the calibration and final output sounded great. Just wish it actually decoded the audio correctly. Connections are simple with quick pugs and HDMI inputs and yes, I have the right cables since they work in my old Denon and, now, Sony receiver just fine.

The first one was contained in a re-sealed TX-NR797 box. Upon opening the box I discovered a different, cheaper model. The second was verified to be the proper model. However, after updating the firmware, I made many attempts to set it up. And I coordinated the process with ONKYO Support. We were unsuccessful getting through the set up procedure.
