TXF files are ASCII files consisting of a header record (see header record below) followed by a sequence of data records. Each field consists of one line. Use of Carriage Return (CR) and Line Feed (LF) to denote line ending is preferred.

To import a .txf file into TurboTax Desktop, follow these steps: Open your return in TurboTax. Select File, then Import, then From Accounting Software (Windows) or From TXF Files (Mac). Choose a program to import from, select Continue and follow the instructions. To delete this info, select File then Remove Imported Data.
