2012年10月26日 · I've considered doing it with the 3MA in the past, to try to improve the carburation/ responsiveness and improve the tuning potential (3XV SP/TZ slides etc. could then be used). Looks like a great project Russel. Plenty of DIY and experimental lateral thinking, rather than bolt-ons - exactly what I find most interesting! Still Smoking...

2021年9月9日 · Good idea. It'd allow you to get a feel for the software. Plus you can plot your runs against revs rather than speed as on the printouts, and view the torque curve yourself, too. Using the Sugo ECU, I never did anything with the VAJ stuff on the 3XV.

2012年10月11日 · This is a going to be a thread on my progress rebuilding and derestricting my 1994 3XV R model. Plus some accessories - nicer screen, carbon mirrors (original ones were a bit loose on their mounts and had the bolts covered in glue or resin), probably carbon hugger and front gaurd too, seat cowl replacing the pillion seat.

The 3XV is a nightmare to derestrict, and unless you (or someone you know well) are in Japan, getting the parts could prove extremely difficult. To get 'real' power, you MUST get an SP, the 'R' model has a much smaller exhaust port (plus it's the wrong shape!), and the list of go-faster goodies is really a TZ spare-parts list - ignition, heads ...
