Ta Yü is an abstract strategy game based on the legendary Yu the Great. The game itself is a tile-based tabletop game designed by Nicolas Neuwahl in 1999. In this game for 2–4 players, players take turns to play 3×1 tiles with three connections on each tile, each trying to make channels that run to his or her own side of the board.

In Ta Yü, a game of connections, one side tries to extend from the starting tile in the center to reach the western and eastern edges of the board while the opposing side tries to reach the northern and southern edges. On your turn you simply draw a tile and decide where to place it, extending the network of tiles already on the board.

In Ta Yü (大禹), a two-player game that can be played four-player partnership, opposing teams play opposite directions: N-S vs E-W. Players/teams take turns placing tiles and extending canals, trying to have as many connections as possible lead to their opposing sides of the board.
