Dong Young-bae (Korean: 동영배; born May 18, 1988), [1] better known by his stage name Taeyang or SOL, is a South Korean singer. He made his debut in 2006 as a member of the South Korean boy band BigBang.

He is best known as the main vocalist and main dancer of the boy group BIGBANG. After appearing in Jinusean's music video "A-yo," Taeyang started his official training under YG Entertainment at the age of 12.

Dong Young Bae, known professionally as Taeyang, is a South Korean singer, dancer, model, actor, and member of BIGBANG (빅뱅). He graduated from Dongducheon Information Industry High School and later obtained a bachelor's degree in Theater and Film from Daejin University.
