TAPER-LOK® is an interference fit fastening system with a self-sealing feature. The system includes a close tolerance tapered shank bolt and a companion washer-nut which is self-centering and self-locking.

Tapered shank bolts, such as the Taper-Lok®, are lightweight, high strength shear or tension bolts. This bolt has a tapered shank designed to provide an interference fit upon installation.

The bolt, fabricated from high strength materials that resist deformation, and the expander nut, fabricated from a deformable material (zinc alloys), allows for uniform compression to the concrete and thereby achieves its exceptional strength.

The SLEEVbolt® system installs in a straight hole and uniformly expands to an interference fit as the tightening of the nut draws the tapered bolt into the sleeve having a reverse taper on its inner diameter and a constant outer diameter.
