She pursued her undergraduate studies at Lasalle College of the Arts in Singapore and graduated with a B.A (Hons) in Fine Arts from Goldsmith’s, University of London in 2013. She has exhibited her work globally, in shows in Singapore, London, India and Seoul.

Tarini Sethi—a fine artist and curator based in Delhi—imagines a dimension where we can live freely and equally, liberated from the judgments of others and ourselves. In this utopian world, Tarini draws divine women who are occasionally multi-limbed and usually naked—sharing the canvas with mystical animals.

Born into an artists’ household, Tarini Sethi has been exploring themes of sexuality, bodily autonomy and world-building in her art since her early teens. Her intricate works often center goddess-like women in unabashed poses. They are nude, multi-limbed, and accompanied by chimerical animals.

Tarini has attended a residency at Space 118, Mumbai, 2015. Sethi’s art explores themes of human intimacy and tries to break the taboo of body-consciousness and sexuality. Her work constantly revolves around the idea of “Utopias” and a world where we can live free and equally, without judgment both from others and ourselves.
