The Tatra T6A2 was a tramcar built by ČKD Tatra between 1985 and 1999. Having enjoyed widespread success with its previous models among mainly Soviet customers, the T6A2 was quite different in appearance to its predecessors, and was bought extensively by cities in the former East Germany, as well as by Szeged (Hungary) and Sofia (Bulgaria).

T6A2D / B6A2D Die größeren Städte der ehemaligen DDR benötigten als Nachfolgemodell der zwischen 1969 und 1986 gelieferten T4D/B4D neue Fahrzeuge in der gleichen technischen Konzeption des Großzuges Tw/Tw/Bw. Ab 18. Januar 1990 erfolgte der Einsatz in Doppeltraktion (Tw+Tw) und ab 23. April waren auch Großzüge (Tw+Tw+Bw) auf der Linie 2 im Einsatz. 1990 folgten weitere 10 T6A2-Triebwagen. Die Bestellung der 5 B6A2-Beiwagen wurde storniert und in 2 weitere T6A2 umgewandelt, die eigentlich für Chemnitz gebaut, dort jedoch ebenfalls storniert worden ...

A Tatra T6A2 háromajtós, egy-vezetőállásos villamos. Magyarországon Szegeden állították őket forgalomba, összesen 13 darab közlekedik belőlük. Eredetileg német (NDK) igényeknek megfelelően a T4 utódjaként tervezték, ennek megfelelően a kocsiszekrény szűkebb a Csehországban szokásos 2500 mm-nél. A villamost 1997 és 1999 között gyártotta a ČKD Tatra.

T6A2 ist die Typenbezeichnung für eine Bauart von vierachsigen Straßenbahntriebwagen des Herstellers ČKD Tatra in Prag, die insbesondere für die Straßenbahnbetriebe in der DDR entwickelt wurden. Die wagenbaulich identischen Beiwagen tragen die Bezeichnung B6A2.

The tram train with the designation T6A2 is a high-floor railcar produced by the Czech manufacturer ČKD for the former GDR. The first 6 railcars and three sidecars (designated B6A2) arrived in Magdeburg at the end of 1989.
