Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) is developed by the U.S. Department of Defense, Defense Health Agency (DHA) Joint Trauma System (JTS) to teach evidence-based, life-saving techniques and strategies for providing the best trauma care on the battlefield.

Use a CoTCCC-recommended limb tourniquet for hemorrhage that is anatomically amenable to tourniquet use. Apply the limb tourniquet over the uniform clearly proximal to the bleeding site(s).
