Team Ico no longer exists. They were part of Japan Studio, whom Sony shuttered in 2021. Fumito Ueda and genDesign are working on a new game funded by Epic. Ueda hoped to debut the game in 2023, but that obviously didn't happen. Unfortunately, that's all we know right now.

2019年6月2日 · Team Ico was a part of Japan Studio. After the team started facing difficulties while developing The Last Guardian some people left the team and started their own indie studios. Fumito Ueda left Sony, but worked on the game as a freelancer and founded genDESIGN with some former employees that worked on his previous titles.

2016年12月14日 · The world would have had to have eroded beyond belief for the same area to become the castle island for ICO to take place in the same area though. But all the Team ICO games take place in the same world easily now. Ueda just needs interrogating to give some answers to help establish a true timeline.
