2019年1月10日 · I am fortunate to have a Polar rapid within 2 miles of my house which makes charging pretty cheap, but having the option of even a 6 Amp/ 1.5kW AC charge close to my house would make life a lot easier compared to making a special trip 2-3 times a week. The biggest issue with not having a home charger, is when you return from a long journey.
EV Charger for terrace house | Speak EV - Electric Car Forums
2020年5月18日 · It sounds like OP may have a terrace house on a private estate? In those cases things can actually be more complex as there will be covenants on what the owner can and can't do. They may not even own the land - it could be leasehold. I own a one bed rental property build in 1999 which is a "sort-of" terrace house.

2021年12月24日 · I would like your opinion on installation of charging point. I have attached a picture which shows my house and my allocated parking. I live in an end of terrace house and would like to install the charging point in my allocated parking. There is an access way to my garden and the electrical wire will have to go through it.
Pod Point Install In Terrace House. - Speak EV
2021年1月20日 · I live in an old terrace house with parking at the front. My fuse box is in the kitchen at the back of the house. It is an easy task to run the cable through the front wall into the crawl space under the floor and pop up under the fuse box in the pantry. Less than the 15mtr of cable restriction.
Terraced house charging trailing wire problem - Speak EV
2025年3月25日 · Our first house was mid-terrace, with on-street parking. There was a sort of unwritten rule that people usually parked in front of their house, although that wasn't a 100% thing, just most days. I'd imagine that once we get to the point where EVs are more popular it would be in everyone's interest to do something similar.
New to EV: granny vs home charging point - pros and cons
2023年7月28日 · I believe grannies are ~2kw, Home charging points are 7kw. so just over 3x faster. If you wanted to most home chargers can be crippled down to 3.6kw to reduce strain on your house (if you run immersion heaters overnight and have an undersized house fuse for example). The main reason to get a proper charger is the fact they are safer.

2021年11月26日 · I have a friend who lives in a Terrace house. They are always moaning when there isn't a space directly outside their property. If the space became available they'd go out there and move the car. Yes, people are territorial with the public highway outside their front door!
Pod Point Installation Cables Through House - Speak EV
2017年2月14日 · House is brand new and was built by Crest Nicholson. There are a lot of houses around here with similar layouts. I think it should be law that they build with electric vehicles in mind, and also our terrace has enormous south facing roofs, which should have been built with solar. Such laws have already been passed in San Fransisco.
Is the Easee One a good choice? | Speak EV - Electric Car Forums
2024年9月3日 · I’m moving into a new house next month. I’ve never had a charger before as I lived in a terrace, but my new house has a garage. Whatcar listed the Easee One as the best of them in the UK, so did Smarthomecharge. What is the best charger in your opinion? I’m not particularly on a budget. Just want the best and most flexible charger. thanks.
HELP- Pod-point internal cabling | Speak EV - Electric Car Forums
2020年7月30日 · @Snailspeed41 I had similar issues, insofar as the route between my consumer unit (middle of the house) and the charger location (front door) meant Pod Point wanted to run the cable through my hallway, in trunking. I wasn't happy with this and asked the Pod Point project manager about running in beneath the CU in the crawl space.
