2021年5月21日 · The Tesla K80 is a computing GPU, so Windows will not recognize it as a graphics processor by default, though it can be used for computations and neural network training, etc. In order to trick Windows into using the K80 for graphics, these are the steps that I followed: Enable "Above 4G decoding" in the BIOS.

2021年2月23日 · Hi, I have registered at this site mainly to follow this topic. I have Tesla K80, RTX 3060Ti, x570 Aorus Elite mb, Ryzen 2700x. So, I dont have iGPU. I tried to use K80 in VM QEMU/KVM with PCI passthrough but unseccessfully (Arch linux host, Windows 10 guest).

2021年11月3日 · Hi! I recently published designs for a standalone cooler for the Tesla K80. It seems like there has been a recent renewed interest in these cards due to the silicon shortage, but in all of the posts/videos about them the cooling is kind of an afterthought.

The infographic could use details on multi-GPU arrangements. Only 30XX series has NVlink, that apparently image generation can't use multiple GPUs, text-generation supposedly allows 2 GPUs to be used simultaneously, whether you can mix and match Nvidia/AMD, and so on.

My workflow consists mainly of CAD, CAE, some light rendering, streaming, and a little bit of gaming.

2020年6月7日 · I did finally get the card powered - it needed a specific 8-pin cable designed for the NVIDIA Tesla K80 cards as a standard GPU power connector didn't do the trick. The system now boots fine - no more over-current errors.

2020年6月17日 · When the R730 server senses a non-Dell PCIe card such as the Nvidia Tesla, it boosts the fan speed to keep the card cool. This is how it is supposed to work. But I found some users have found ways to turn off the fan acceleration or change the fan speed by themselves using IPMI tools or RACADM commands.

2020年11月26日 · Yeah I had a older Tesla k20x and before I built my new pc, my motherboard didn’t have “Above 4G Decoding” in the bios, so with a second gpu I would get device manger errors. I haven’t ever had a external gpu enclosure or a laptop capable of it but I would expect issues with Tesla cards because they can be weird.
