The 635 East Project is a $1.74 billion design-build roadway construction project by the Texas Department of Transportation to improve mobility, operations and safety along Interstate 635 (I-635) in Dallas County. The project spans 11 miles beginning just east of US 75 in North Dallas to I-30 in Mesquite.

Interstate 635 (I-635 [a]) is a 37-mile-long (60 km) partial loop around Dallas, Texas, in the United States between I-20 in Balch Springs and SH 121 at the north entrance of the DFW Airport in Grapevine. It intersects I-35E at exits 27B and 27C but does not connect with I-35W.

All lanes along northbound and southbound Garland Avenue at I-635. The westbound I-635 entrance at Garland will remain open. Both directions of Plano Road at I-635 will be reduced to one lane in each direction.

2003年1月20日 · The 11-mile 635 East Project will reconstruct and widen I-635 from US 75 to I-30, including the I-635/I-30 interchange. The general-purpose lanes will be expanded and the existing tolled managed lanes will be rebuilt. When complete, there will be a total of 10 general purpose lanes and two tolled managed lanes.

The 13.3-mile LBJ TEXpress Lanes on I-635 and I-35E in Dallas are part of a sophisticated new tollway system in North Texas, designed to provide drivers with faster, more reliable trips and no stop-and-go driving.
