With the C64, running one program at a time, handling files using cassette, well that's heaven to me. Totally offline, totally in control and totally immersed in the environment and it's limits. Game developers cross developed because they were trying to make money quickly and wanted to use the full capacity of the destination platform.

Most of the other file formats are for images of higher capacity disks such as d81 which is the biggest disk size the c64 got.

2023年4月27日 · It is possible to use original joysticks, it just doesn't work with every DB9 USB adapter. On Amazon I bought one of those "zero delay" USB joystick boards for wiring up arcade controls, and it does work with TheC64. I just wired it to a DB9 connector according to standard C64/Atari joystick connector wiring.
