"The Nox" is the eighth episode of the first season of Stargate SG-1. After increased pressure to acquire advanced technology from their missions, SG-1 travel to the planet Gaia in order to capture a creature apparently capable of rendering itself invisible.

The Nox are a humanoid race from the lush planet Gaia, located in the Milky Way galaxy. The Nox had a symbiotic relations with nature, and as a society were centered on absolute pacifism and non-violence.

The Nox is the seventh episode of Season 1 of Stargate SG-1. SG-1 head out to locate a creature that can turn itself invisible and encounter Apophis doing the same. Attempting to capture Apophis ends badly as most of are killed but revived and make contact with a strange group of humanoid aliens who could end up enslaved by the Goa'uld.

Though they appear to be primitive forest-dwellers, the pacifist, nature-loving Nox are one of the galaxy's oldest and most advanced races. Capable of living hundreds of Earth years, the Nox believe they are symbiotically linked with nature, and treasure the world in which they live.

The team is brought back to life by the peace-loving Nox, who take away SG-1's weapons to prevent them from attacking Apophis; but then some of these gentle people are found and killed by the Goa'uld.
