Siamese Dream was released the summer before my sophomore year of high school and pretty much was the soundtrack to the remainder of my high school years. MCIS is an excellent album, but Siamese Dream is a masterpiece and will always be THE Smashing Pumpkins album for me.

2022年11月8日 · I love Siamese Dream but I skip a lot of the songs like Cherub Rock, Today, Disarm. I don't skip anything on Gish even though I've heard those songs just as much over my life. I don't know why that is and I totally understand why Siamese Dream is the Smashing Pumpkins flagship title and will always be the general favorite.

2013年8月28日 · I think Smashing Pumpkins, and in particular Corgan had a lot of the same influences as shoegaze: Indie/alternative rock, post punk, fuzz, wall of sound production, etc. Thus they have similar sounds and effects. But Pumpkins were definitely going for a more bombastic sound, especially coupled with Corgan's love of heavy metal and hard rock.
