Ti Frere, was born April 22, 1900 under the name Jean Alphonse Ravaton and essentially created one of the most popular music genres in Mauritius, Sega. He also laid the foundations which lead to the creation of the widely popular music genre – Seggae, that the legendary artist Kaya is famously known for.
