Tich was LBSC’s effort to design a beginners locomotive in 3.5” gauge that could be driven on a track. There has been controversy ever since about what the best way to achieve that, but certainly Tich has had plenty of builders, and in larger gauges, too.

I have found there are a number of small but important errors in the details given in the Model Engineer. If folks knew about them and had access to these 3d models it would help them have a much better experience building.

2020年4月15日 · According to the former AJReevesLtd, gleaned 20 years ago from their records of number of castings sets sold, the TICH is the single most-built live steam locomotive in history. The #2 engine, at over 10,000 sets sold, is probably the 1/4" scale 4-8-4 offered beginning in the 1930s by the Little Engine Co. of Lomita California.

3.5" Tich 0-4-0 LBSC live steam tank locomotive for sale. A completed engine that several years ago was run on air (through the boiler) according to the builder.
