2009年4月20日 · I am using this glue for certain applications on a kayak frame I'm building. Specifically, i'm using it to bed slash-cut 2 1/2" height gunwales to solid wood stems. I am using screws for primary attachment. The glue is a means to ensure the joint is unable to hold moisture, and to also guarantee the screws cannot "work".

2010年6月22日 · I use titebond III freely for joints above the waterline, and interior joints below the waterline. Exterior joints below the waterline are epoxied. Titebond is at least as strong as the okoume ply and softwoods I use.

2020年3月21日 · Titebond would not dissolve. Yellow glue would, but many pro canoe builders use yellow glue. The glue and core is tantamount to balsa core. Once the hull is sheathed, the epoxy bonds the two sides of core together and the glue only provides stiffness or bond between strips. In order for the glue to get wet post sheathing, the core would be wet.

2016年4月27日 · TiteBond III isn't a structural glue and it does pass the type one WBP test, but just barely. It will soften with emersion and it'll creep under load too. I use TiteBond III frequently, but not in underwater applications or heavily loaded structural elements.

When I was doing full time repair work, I'd often enough see guitars come in with the bridges lifting and threads of glue...probably Titebond, stretching from the top up to the bridge.
