TLD is a generic HIV combination. It contains tenofovir disoproxil, lamivudine and dolutegravir. Sometime the tablet are marked LTD. TLD is a very good combination and is now the most widely used ART. It is recommended by the WHO. This combination is only available in either low or middle-income countries.

WHAT IS TLD TRANSITION? The World Health Organization (WHO) has recommended that all countries using TLE as a first-line regimen should transition all eligible clients to a diferent combination, which contains dolutegravir (DTG) in place of efavirenz—that is, TLD, with the “D” standing for dolutegravir.

The data on safety and efficacy of DTG-containing regimens were also reviewed, addressing key considerations associated with newer antiretroviral (ARV) drugs – including body weight gain and other cardiometabolic risks, tolerability of regimens, safety in pregnancy and HIV drug resistance.

2024年4月24日 · Five criteria, namely, indication, dose, contraindication, drug interaction, and TLD safety monitoring were used to evaluate the appropriateness of TLD utilization. 80% of patients were transited to TLD from other regimens. The median time on TLD was found to be 13 months with 9 months to 18 months IQR.

What are dolutegravir and TLD? A. DTG is a relatively new ARV available in generic form in low- and middle-income countries. It is an integrase inhibitor that blocks an HIV enzyme (a protein that starts or increases the speed of a chemical reaction) called integrase.

To ensure optimal prescribing practices in the dolutegravir-era in Cameroon, we compared first-line virological response (VR) under tenofovir + lamivudine + dolutegravir (TLD) according to prior exposure to tenofovir + lamivudine + efavirenz (TLE).
