2025年3月15日 · TM28 (Dig) made a brief appearance in File 2: Cubone, where Red retrieved it from a Team Rocket Grunt who had stolen it. In the Generation II games, there is a dummied-out copy of TM28, which appears in game data right after the real TM28. It is put in the Item pocket and has no effect.

You can find TM28 Dig in a hidden corner in the southwestern side of National Park, but you’ll need to walk behind the fencing to reach this area. You can obtain this TM as soon as you have access to Goldenrod. Note that this is also the only location of TM28 in the game, and there are no other copies you can acquire (other than trading).

You can obtain TM28 Dig by talking to a kid inside the Fossil Maniac’s House, which is located on Route 114. This is the route directly west of Fallarbor Town. Getting to this area does require Rock Smash, but you will reach this area naturally during a playthrough after Mauville City.
