We know that Shoto's mother was driven pretty much insane by his abusive father, which resulted in her throwing boiling water in Shoto's face and scared the left side of his face. However, how exactly did that even happen or rather how is that even possible.

2017年7月13日 · Todoroki's scar is a frost burn because her mother poured boiling water over him and in panic used her quirk on him to 'easen' the pain, but it actually made it worse. It's basic knowledge not to put ice over the wound as it will make it worse and will create a frost burn scar.
