Titan Trapper Island is an island inhabited by a tribe of witches who call themselves the Titan Trappers. Near the island, the skeletons of several other Titans protrude from the Boiling Sea, including the skeleton of a Titan at least as tall as the Titan of the Boiling Isles .

In both cases there's a supernatural energy source that's emitted from the titans themselves (ether for XC and magic for TOH) and these energy sources surround everything on the titans. These energies could be one and the same and are the natural byproduct of a dead titan.
