I'm sure many of you have heard of the KS-23 and its civilian variants the TOZ-123 and the BFG1 - 4 gauge (on paper, anyway) shotguns fabricated out of rejected anti-aircraft barrels. Well I came across one in my travels and had to snag it up. The trouble is, naturally, the ammo for it. Doesn't exist, has to be fabricated.

The later hunting version TOZ-123 had a commercial name "Selezen'-4" (stands for "male duck" or drake in Russian), was rebarreled specifically for 4 gauge and intended to be used (at least theoretically) as a portable duck hunting punt gun, just like you proposed ...

2010年6月6日 · Sorry for the double post. After doing some digging, it appears that there was a trade agreement made during the Clinton administration (1996) that bars the importation of many firearms from Russia and several other Eastern European states. The TOZ-123 does not appear to be on the list of items allowed.

2022年8月31日 · A runner up would be 4 Gauge, since it solves the KS-23M’s biggest issues for me (being its slow af fire rate), and it can be combined with the Sporting Barrel and Full Stock for the true TOZ-123 experience.

It could very well be that the sporting barrel (and default barrel by extension) is a barrel from the TOZ-123, which actually is smoothbore. 2023年3月20日 · The KS23 was never exported for sporting use as far as I'm aware. However, you can buy a TOZ-123 or BFG-1 and "convert" it with furniture. Very cool link, this is the guy who made the one in the GT video.
