2018年10月12日 · The NASA Transport and Chemical Evolution over the Pacific (TRACE-P) comprised the third of three planned Pacific Exploratory Missions in the central and western regions of the Pacific Ocean basin. TRACE-P was part of NASA's Global Tropospheric Experiment (GTE).

Focused aircraft missions complement surface and satellite observations by providing detailed investigations of the dynamical and chemical processes affecting atmospheric composition over rather broad geographical regions. The March-April flight period for TRACE-P was selected after consideration of several factors [Jacob et al., 1999].

Simultaneously, pulse height analysis provides a measurement of size resolved number concentrations of particles between 3 and nominally 10 nm diameter and at sampling rate of 30 s. This approach has high sensitivity for measuring nanoparticle concentrations.

2003年9月27日 · A major event of transpacific Asian pollution was characterized through combined analysis of TRACE-P and MOPITT data. The TRACE-P observations showed that cold fronts sweeping across East Asia and the associated warm conveyor belts (WCBs) are the dominant pathway for Asian outflow to the Pacific in spring.
