6 天之前 · The Fowler 7F classes were hard-working engines. Eleven of this 2-8-0 version were built for the Somerset & Dorset, carrying the line's beautiful blue livery until 1930 when they were absorbed into the LMS.

The Somerset and Dorset Joint Railway (S&DJR) 7F 2-8-0 is a class of steam locomotive designed for hauling heavy coal and goods trains. Eleven were built in two batches in 1914 and 1925, and were used until withdrawal between 1959 and 1964.

5 天之前 · A TRS19 and above steam engine spec for the small boilered Somerset & Dorset Joint Railway 7F 2-8-0 designed by Sir Henry Fowler and built at Derby. This will perform most accurately if used with Stovepipe's e-specs for British rolling stock.

Fowler 7F 0-8-0 These locomotives where intended to be an improved standardised version of the LNWR G2 0-8-0’s but proved to be a poor design due to Midland practice. They where used for hauling slow heavy mineral trains until Nationalisation when British railways began withdrawing them very quickly.
