2025年2月11日 · Astrotrain is a Decepticon from the Generation 1 continuity family. Astrotrain loves to sow confusion. To this end, his Triple Changer abilities serve him well. Nothing pleases him more than confronting an Autobot in a dark corner and making him wonder if he's up against one Decepticon or two. He craves having this power over others.

2025年1月14日 · Released in the second year of the original US Transformers toyline (first in European and Japanese markets), Astrotrain can transform into either a black-and-purple JNR Class D51 steam locomotive or an off-white-and-purple Space Shuttle orbiter. The train mode can roll on wide-ish toy train tracks, but it can’t turn corners very well.

With the help of Blitzwing, Astrotrain froze Megatron and Starscream in a sewer system in order to take over the Decepticons. He then created an army of trains to help him rule, thinking it was a good idea.

Astrotrain’s US Patent, titled Reconfigurable toy (aka Transformers G1 Astrotrain) was filed on January 14, 1985 (U.S. Patent No. USD289536 S). Astrotrain transforms into a Class D51 locomotive or a Space Shuttle Orbiter.

In Transformers: The Movie, twenty years after his arrival on Earth, Astrotrain joined the Decepticon assault on Autobot City. He would survive the battle relatively unscathed and his shuttle mode provided the Decepticons with an escape vehicle as they retreated.

Astrotrain is a large and powerful decepticon Tripple Changer, and takes pleasure in bossing around his smaller and weaker peers. He functions as a ground, air, and space transport for the Decepticons, with nobody truly using him for his sheer strength.
