2018年7月24日 · Of the more than 100 varieties trees to choose from, we can break these down into three categories: small, medium, and large. Small trees will usually have smaller root systems, and are better adapted to tighter areas such as parking medians and street trees. These trees will usually grow slowly and mature at heights less than 25 feet.

There are many California native trees that work well in landscapes. Our locally native trees deserve to be cultivated more often in the San Francisco Bay area, and this list focuses primarily on them. They are well adapted to our climate and soils and provide special value for wildlife.
