2015年9月18日 · Trich is actually white and it's definitely intertwined in your mycelium now. Actually only the aerial mycelium is white. The vegetative mycelium that grows through the substrate is sort of greyish and is so thin it's to hard to see even on agar. The aerial myc will also have that sandy/granular look too, but it just hasn't turned green yet.

So I may open the petri dish, drop oil on top and transfer the sample along with starting some new plates. I need a targeted agar though. If your cotton swab rubs the blue or green powder on to it, it is highly likely that you are looking at a Trich or Penicillium contamination. If your cotton swab comes out clean without any color on it, your mycelium may be simply bruised.
