The Institute of Engineering(IOE), founded in 1930 (1987/11/19BS) as Nepal’s first technical school and reformed to present shape in 1972, is producing outstanding engineering technicians and engineers for more than 80 years. Institute of Engineering is offering Ph.D. program, Master degree (graduate courses), Bachelor degrees (undergraduate courses) in different engineering disciplines in different campuses and colleges. Now IOE run Post-doctoral program, Ph.D. program in various sector, 34 master program and 12 Bachelor degree program.

The Institute of Engineering (IOE), Tribhuvan University (TU) conducts an entrance examination each year for admission to the Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) and Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) programs. This highly anticipated examination serves as a comprehensive assessment of the students’ knowledge, aptitude and problem-solving abilities.

IOE bachelor programs are available on all of its constituent campuses and the affiliated colleges while the masters programs are available only at its constituent campuses: Pulchowk Campus, Thapathali Campus, Purwanchal Campus, Chitwan Campus and Pashchimanchal Campus .
